By ‘going green’ I mean eco-friendly, rather than decorating your home from floor to ceiling in shades of green; not that there’s anything undesirable about green décor – quite the opposite in fact, especially with the combined effect of lockdown, more time in our gardens and the beautiful weather; all of which make the idea of bringing the outside in, ever more appealing.
Strikingly, we’re also witnessing in just a few months the incredibly positive global impact our change in habits is having on our natural environment. So why wouldn’t we wish to continue the good work of protecting our planet by choosing vegan options with which to furnish our homes?
If you haven’t delved into green home styling before, you may be amazed by the number of environmentally friendly materials readily available. From faux leather, organic cotton and sustainable fabrics such as tencel, econyl and pinatex, to rattan, bamboo, soy and recycled plastics and glass, if you’re in the market for a vegan home, your interior choices can make a sizeable contribution to your efforts to being kind to our planet.
At a time when demand for vegan and eco-conscious products is moving beyond food and fashion, in this blog we’re delighted to bring you ideas on how you can incorporate planet-friendly interiors into your home, brought to you by 5 of our small ethical business friends, who have kindly contributed to the post with one or two of their fab products, all of which are currently available to buy. So without further ado…
